ON THE LAKE - MAINE / FROM THE ARCHIVE

FROM THE DOCK

ACROSS THE LAKE

VAL

A few summers ago I was invited to join a few friends for a weekend in Maine on a small lake. Aside from hanging with a small group of creative friends, drinking wine and playing in the lake, I was also commissioned to create a few prints for the homes owner. The first 2 images were for the owner, the last image of "Val" was for my friends who asked me to come along. Invariably, I produce a number of prints inspired from all of my trips, so anyone out there willing to host me for more than a weekend, you'll end up with some fun company, a hard worker if necessary and a few original prints for your personal collection. All International and Domestic offers welcome!!!

You need new prints? Well I need new prints too. Been busy with the "other" work, and personal crap, haven't been nearly as productive as I would like.

Besides, I need to travel, get some inspiration that way. Stewart in China said to come for a visit whenever we want, we can use Shanghai as a jumping off point. I'm just waiting to see what my taxes and living situation pans out to be in order to commit to something. Still interested?

I love that first print, From The Docks; the color blocking and the line work have nice retro feel to them (maybe because of the subject matter too) and I love me a vintage referential...

Hey George-

I completely agree with the retro thing. It was unintentional but became immediately apparent to me as well once I pulled the print. I think it also has something to do with the color combo. That earthy selection of colors bring me back a bit.
