WIRE FLOWER PROTOTYPE

Working with the same materials I used to do the Wire Butterflies, I cut out a zillion flower shapes from window screen, spray painted them and then attached straight pins through the center of all of the layers to create a prototype.

Yes, a hell of a lot of work, but pretty amazing results.

NEW TAT DESIGN

Sorry for the long overdue post. I've been working out of the studio every day for the month and it's sucking my creative energy dry. I did have a request for a tattoo that I've somehow managed to pull together, working off of an old print I made a few years ago, I switched a few details and started to add color. It's not quite finished, but at the rate I'm going I figured I would go ahead and post what I have.

I have another freelance prototype job I completed last week that I should be able to upload later today.

FOLD US CANDIDATE FINGER PUPPETS

One of my favorite artist friends here in the city, Adi Marom who specializes in folded design projects created this wonderful site, Fold U.S. Candidate where anyone can print out images and instructions on how to create a finger puppet of any one or all 3 of the mainstream contenders for the next U.S. Presidential election. Feel free to cross post this on your blog, link it, pass it on to friends, family, political rivals, etc....

SEEING RED

I met up with my friend Adi to celebrate her birthday and see some amazing Japanese printmaking at The Asia Society on the upper Eastside this afternoon. Afterwards, we sat down for a bite to eat at a pastry shop and as I turned to the left, every woman had on some piece of clothing that was in the red family. I was trying to take the picture on the sly, so it's not the best shot, but you get the idea.

ALICE

I've begun the initial sketch work for a new dance production with choreographer Scott Rink. This time we're working with an old recording of Alice In Wonderland as the inspiration for the piece. Luckily for me, one of the pieces Scott wants me to create is my version of The Cheshire Cat. This is what I've come up, mind you it's in the infant stages and is just a fast sketch to present Scott and potential interested parties.
